Carbon capture and sequestration is an expensive method of trapping carbon dioxide from coal power plants before the gas can enter the atmosphere. Carbon capture and storage its the process of capturing waste carbon dioxide, CO2, from fossil fuel power plants, transporting it to a storage site, and depositing it where it will not enter the atmosphere, normally an underground geological formation.
