IncSmart North Dakota (Small Business and Startups) - A North Dakota Scholarship Program has been created by North Dakota business that are having difficulty hiring and training employees for these high demand positions with technical skills. These skills require an education beyond High School but not requiring a four year degree. The legislature has approved the funds but are looking at for matching funds from local employers who need the positions filled. Business can donate funds to the scholarship or the repayment program. Business can also pick which colleges, programs and educators.

The 12 credit certificate is currently a graduate studies program, and is the first of it's kind in the country. The classed provide farmers and ranchers with the planning skills they need to add the tourism niche to there on business services. Agritourism not only helps the farmers and ranchers, but it a boost for the local community as well.

IncSmart West Virginia (Small Business and Startups) - West Virginia leads the nation in growth according to the US Department of Commerce with record breaking income for the state. Almost $90 million more from 2018. West Virginia was top state in the first quarter of 2019 with a 5/6% growth rate. There are still more projects coming online for the Mountain State, including ethane cracker plants. The ethane cracker plants turns natural gas into plastics and resins.

Transaction Tax to start in January
IncSmart Oregon (Small Business and Startups) - The new Oregon Business Tax hike, called the Student Success Act, will go into effect January 2020. A business that makes $750,000 in 2020 will be required to register for the new tax. Companies that post $1 million dollars in transactions will have to pay $250 fee. The new tax was passed along party lines with the Republicans voting against the increase. The new tax followed angry debates in Salem.
