Two Shuttered Casinos Reopen Today

IncSmart New Jersey (Small Business and Startups) - It's a big day in Atlantic City as New Jersey reopens two casinos.  Atlantic City still has nine casinos open, after the twelve that have been closed in this seaside gambling resort, and the Boardwalk is open year round.  The former Trump Taj Mahal will open as the Hardrock, and Revel will open as the Ocean Resort Casino.  The Hard Rock Hotel will hire 3,800 employees and the Ocean Resort Casino will hire an additional 3000 jobs.

IncSmart California  (Small Business and Startups) - The Food and Drug Administration just approved a new drug called Epidiolex - a cannabis based medicines.  Epidiolex is manufactured by GW Pharmaceuticals, a British company with it's US headquartered in California.  Epidiolex will be used for two rare forms of Epilepsy.  Epiciolex is an oral medication.  GW Pharmaceuticals have not yet announced a price.

Port of Virginia expansion is on schedule and at budget.  Virginia has already secured $695 million in private and state investment, and the state is asking for an additional $300 million from the Federal government.  The expansion incudes dredging and deepening the commercial shipping channel and reconstructing the width of the channel to 1400 feet.  A new terminal will also be constructed using the dredge material from the widened channel.
