Senate Committee Rejects Request from Sessions

This amendment is introduced despite a written request from Attorney General Sessions that wants to crack down on marijuana use. In May, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent a letter to Congress asking them not to extend the protections.

They plan on hiring over 100,000 full time workers over the next 18 months. In Baltimore alone, Amazon will hire 1200 new employees. Amazon hopes to capitalize on the increasing number of jobless retail workers. The retail workers have been laid off as malls begin to close. The Baltimore facility is the former General Motors plant in Southeast Baltimore. The job fair could help cut Baltimore's high unemployment.
