IncSmart Michigan (Small Business and Startups) - Ford Motor Company is adding over 3000 jobs in Michigan. Hiring will begin in early 2020 with salaries that pay an average of $61,000 a year. The two Ford plants that will receive investment monies are Wayne and Dearborn. 2,700 jobs will go to Wayne and 300 jobs will go to Dearborn. $750 million dollars will be going to the Wayne plant and the rest of the funds to the Dearborn plant.
the Michigan Strategic Fund has approved state tax incentives worth $35 million dollars in 15 years. The Ford investments will share $1.45 billion dollars on vehicles that will include electric and autonomous productions. The Wayne plant will build new Ford Bronco SUVs. These trucks will include hybrid and electric vehicles. Autonomous vehicles will start production in 2021. The Dearborn plant will concentrate on it[s Ford F150 electric production.
