IncSmart Arizona (Small Business and Startups) - Block 23 will break ground next week on the new $160 million project in downtown Phoenix. The development will includes a Fry’s Food Stores supermarket (owned by Kroger Grocery), 330 high-rise residential units, and 200,000 square feet of office space aimed at tech and creative companies.
The Block 23 property is on Metro light rail and just north of Talking Stick Resort Arena. Talking Stick Resort Arena is home to the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and the Arizona Rattlers. Office space vacancy rates in downtown Phoenix are the lowest in over a decade, and the vacancy rate to go even lower this year. The low rate is being driven by tech firms and financial services.
