The FOMC meets four times a year in Washington DC to establish and change policy by buying and selling US Treasury Bonds. The committee also enhances interest rate targeting, as a way to adjust the country by watching and preparing for inflation. The interest rate targeting has been criticized by the Trump administration for keeping interest rates too high when it comes to paying on the national debt.
