Domestication

Domesticating a corporation or Limited Liability company allows owners to transfer from one state or jurisdiction to another.  After moving your company to a new state, the company in the old state ceases to exist. You may need to file a dissolution for the old state.  Some states will allow you to keep your original incorporating date, but most states do not.  You do however get to keep the same Tax ID and company structure.
