Businesses Applaud California Ban
Los Angeles Bans Homeless Encampments
IncSmart California (Small Business and Startups) - Over 54 locations in the city of Los Angeles have been targeted for removal of homeless encampments. Business owners and voters say it's too little too late.
Signs will be posted at the encampments to allow the campers 14 days to move. After that time, outreach teams will intervene. The anti camping law was approved by Los Angeles in July. Encounters with the campers have been associated with assaults and break ins, but the underlying reason is mental illness and drug addiction.
