IncSmart Wisconsin (Small Business and Startups) - Wisconsin Harley Davidson goes electric. They are planning a big investment in electric motorcycles. The launch schedule for its first electric motor bike is in 18 months, maybe sooner. The market is in its infancy and Harley Davidson is pushing it's way to be the world leader in the electrification of motorcycles.
The new electric hog will hit the streets in less than two years. This is the target launch to find the battery powered motorcycle on the street. The new model will have to compete with other electric motorcycles already being produced by California's Zero Motorcycles, Alta Motors, BMW and Italy's Energica. This move will create 450 jobs at the York Pennsylvania facility
