IncSmart Tennessee (Small Business and Startups) - Volkswagen plans to build another auto manufacturing plant in Chattanooga Tennessee. The $900 million investment plans to break ground in May 2017. Volkswagen is the worlds largest auto maker. Volkswagen is still fighting against the union at Tennessee plants.
Volkswagen America and the city of Chattanooga have established a new workforce development program. The program is called the Volkswagen Neighborhood Talent Pipeline. This is a five week program is offered free of to qualified participants for employment. People will be introduced to how manufacturing works. They want to preparing people for careers at Volkswagen in Chattanooga.
