Texas Enterprise Fund Wins Hulu Headquarters

IncSmart Texas (Small Business and Startups) - The Texas Enterprise Fund wins the new Hulu headquarters ouo t of  23 cities.  Hulu cut the ribbon last week.  The city’s six-year 100 % tax abatement for Hulu is worth about $279,000.  The county’s 10-year, 90 percent real and personal property tax abatement for the company is worth an estimated $403,000. The Texas Enterprise Fund also pledged to give them $1.28 million cash grant.

The new call it is a call center will provide employment for the county.  The center is located on the near Northwest Side of San Antonio.  Both San Antonio and Bexar courted Hulu to convince them to move into the area.  Hulu’s own capital investment is expected to exceed $13 million.  The customer service center will provide 24 hour telephone, email, chat and social media support.   It also will reach out to customers and conduct account analysis.    Around 30 of the company’s employees have already moved from California to San Antonio to work at the new center.  The new center now has more than 300 people, and they will have 380 by the end of the year and more than 500 people by August of 2019
