Texas Ends Reliance on Foreign Oil

There are now thousands of oil wells are pumping in the Texas Permian Basin, making the United States a dominant energy provider.  The Permian Basin has pipe lines still in production that will increase America's exports in the future.  The shale technology has also boosted American might in energy production.  America was importing over 3 million barrels a day.  The peak of America imports was 12 million barrels a day under the previous administration in 2005.
