Solar Farm in Virginia
IncSmart Virginia (Small Business and Startups) - Henrico County Planning Commission just endorsed a solar panel project in the state of Virginia.  It must be approved by the county's Board of Supervisors for zoning appeals and for a conditional use permit.  The project consists of 93 acres on Meadow Road bounded by Interstates 64 and 295 to the south and west.

Briel Farm Solar, LLC project improvements include solar arrays and related infrastructure, access roads, fencing, possible storm water management BMPS, and temporary erosion controls. The site is currently agricultural land.  The energy collected from the 71,000 solar panels on the farm will be converted to electricity and sold to Dominion Virginia Power.  This project from the solar industry is creating numerous employment opportunities.
