Sacramento California Bids For Soccer Franchise
IncSmart California  (Small Business and Startups) - Sacramento is getting closer to becoming the next city with a professional soccer team.  Sacramento will make it's presentation in New York on December 14 in front of the MLS Commissioner.  They are one of four cities still in the running for the franchise.  Sacramento and Nashville are the two favorites. The plans include a market overview and detailed plans for the 20,000 seat downtown stadium.

The new stadium will be built in the River District with the states Cap and Trade Program.  The River District plans includes adding housing units, a new stop for the light rail and bikeways.  The league currently has 22 teams for this season.  Los Angeles will start playing in March in it's new stadium under construction near the Coliseum.
