IncSmart Pennsylvania (Small Business and Startups) - Pennsylvania Boeing plant in Ridley Park wins contract to build Ospreys for the US Navy, Marines Air Force, and the government of Japan. The joint venture is with Boeing and Bell Helicopter. The facility in Ridley Park is undergoing a $100 million dollar renovation of it's 350,000 square foot site.
Ridley Park is a suburb of Philadelphia located 10 miles southwest of the city, with train service to Philadelphia and the District of Columbia. The current unemployment rate is 3.7%, and this new contract will bring good paying jobs to the region. The town is currently the home of the Chinook helicopter division.
