New FAA Regulations in Nevada
IncSmart Nevada (Small Business and Startups) - New FAA regulations are restricting drone flights in Las Vegas Nevada.  The new FAA regulations restrict airspace in 90% of the Las Vegas valley.  Most people living in Las Vegas however live in the restricted airspace which has angered recreational flyers.  Recreation drone flyers will be required to fly drones in a small park southwest of the city named Bennet RC Airfield.  The new rules are intended to make the airspace above the city safer.

Recreation drone fliers can continue to fly if they stay under 400 feet of uncontrolled airspace.  To fly above 400 feet, flyers will need specific certification or authority from the FAA.  Flyers are currently required authority to fly around McCarran International or the North Las Vegas Airport.  The FAA rules do not apply to trained and licensed drone pilots.  Bennet Radio Control Airpark is at 6800 E. Russell, and is part of Clark County Recreation department.
