It is an easy way to hide behind Corporations and LLCs. Any one can move money into a state's political landscape without anyone knowing about it. You can create as many companies as you want with the only purpose of funding money to a candidate. By using nominee officers, no one will even know it is you. You are only allowed by law to contribute $10,000 to a candidate. But each entity that is created is also allowed to give $10,000 to a candidate. As a result, literally hundreds of thousands of dollars can be funneled into a campaign from any state or any country. What better way to having closer ties with a representative. Politicians will raise as much money as they can, and never have to report where the money came from.
