IncSmart Virginia (Small Business and Startups) - NASA launches Rocket from Wallops Flight Center in Virginia. One of NASA's space program contractors, Orbital ATK, has just launched supplies to the International Space Station. Orbital ATK was created from a merger with a former Honeywell defense business, with the company Orbital, former Harvard friends.
Wallops Flight Facility has 1100 full time Civil Service and independent contractors. Wallops was opened by NASA in 1945 for space research on suborbital programs. It is only one of four rocket launch locations in America.
