IncSmart Florida (Small Business and Startups) -  Vice President Mike Pence issues statement that NASA will start to reorient the administration towards human spaceflight.  Pence called it a new era of space leadership that will benefit every facet of America.  He emphasized the return to the moon, and the first landing on Mars.  NASA al so recognizes the importance of the private sector in space to help American gain leadership in space exploration. Since the end of the shuttle program in 2011, America has been dependent on Russia to fly astronauts to and from the space station.  The spacer station flies 250 miles above Earth. NASA is moving crew ferry flights to SpaceX and Boeing before the end of 2018.  Cape Canaveral on the Florida Space Coast is getting a huge investment.

With the new agenda set, NASA will hold its first meeting this summer.  America will reestablish leadership in space that ended with the shuttle program.  NASA will receive more than $19.6 billion by the end of fiscal year 2017.  These funds have already been passed by Congress in early May.  The new budget for fiscal year 2018 is just under $19.1 billion for NASA.  Ongoing and future international partnerships including the International Space Station which so far has reached $100 billion from 15 nations, will be ongoing.
