Marijuana Startups
IncSmart Massachusetts (Small Business and Startups) - Massachusetts marijuana regulators issued a plan for cannabis cafes. A 3 to 2 vote from the Cannabis Control Commission calls for an initial test in several communities. Twelve cities will be in the test program. This will allow the customer to buy and consume the drug onsite. New entrepreneurs will be able to get licenses. Cannabis Cafes should have low startup costs.
Licenses will be granted for consumption of marijuana at some outdoor public events, such as concerts and festivals, and social settings such as restaurants. These new rules will include keeping marijuana consumption away from people younger than 21 years old, and you will not be able to take the cannabis you purchase off of the premises. The rules will also include training by servers when a customer is too high to drive home. Smoking marijuana in public is still illegal.
