Louis Vuitton Workshop in Texas

IncSmart Texas (Small Business and Startups) - Louis Vuitton opens a 100,000 square foot factory and workshop in Alvarado Texas.  Trump touts American Artisans for the new plant and promises more American production as one of his rallying cries for the country. As the World Trade Organization targets Europe for letting governments subsidize European manufacturing, it also paves the way for American retaliatory tariffs.  This new plant may help Louis Vuitton avoid the next round of tariffs on the European Union.  

President Trump attended the Ribbon Cutting ceremony.  The new facility will produce luxury leather goods at the Rochambeau Ranch facility.  Rochambeau Ranch was named after the French General who sided with the colonies during the American Revolution.  The company will bring 500 jobs to the Fort Worth Texas area with a starting pay of $13 an hour.  The employment number is expected to reach 1000 jobs over the next five years.
