Iowa Expands Startup Incubator

IncSmart Iowa (Small Business and Startups) - Simpson College in Indianola, has formed The Emerge Foundation, a Startup Incubator created for entrepreneurial development in it's business management program.   This program will help students engage their startups on campus. Students have the opportunity to gain real-world experiences in start up businesses and nonprofits.  The collaboration is between Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and business leaders helping startups solving problems.
 

Simpson College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Indianola, Iowa.  The school is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  It's partnership with The Emerge Foundation, guides student ventures on business modeling, organizational development, and financing. This helps prepare the participants for business growth stages.  If a venture becomes commercially viable, ownership remains with its creators.
