IncSmart Kentucky (Small Business and Startups) - Toyota will invest $1.3 billion in its Georgetown Kentucky plant, creating the largest factory in the world. The factory is over 7.5 million-square-foot. The Toyota factory plant has over 8,200 employees. They just added 700 more workers. Toyota has made a major impact on the Bluegrass State with strong jobs numbers, payroll. They are also investing in capital and philanthropic programs.
This investment by Toyota, makes Kentucky a leader in manufacturing. Georgetown will experience a steady growth of startups. The city is just south of Cincinnati and east of Louisville. The population is 33,000. Georgetown is also home to Georgetown College, a liberal arts school charted in 1829. Georgetown College is a private Baptist college.
