Guinness Opens Brewery in Maryland
IncSmart Maryland (Small Business and Startups) - Guinness opens a brewery in Maryland.  The project started last spring.  The new Guinness brewery is located at 5001 Washington Blvd.  It is the first brewery that Guinness has opened in 60 years.  It sits on the site of a former Seagram's bottling plant.   The location includes a museum, outdoor patio and live music.  

The $98 million project called Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House.  The last time Guinness brewed beer in the US, was in 1950 in New York.  It is located in Relay Baltimore County.  The brewery has a 250 person taproom with 92 taps pouring Guinness beer and wine.  A 270 seat restaurant is expected to open in 2 weeks.  Brewery officials said the company will hire over 200 people.
