Fresenius Kabi Expands in North Carolina

IncSmart North Carolina (Small Business and Startups) - Fresenius Kabi announces expansion in Wilson North Carolina.  The expansion of its current pharmaceutical production facility in Wilson, will also include and the construction of a new manufacturing facility.  The German company will enlarge its 100 employee production facility and build a new manufacturing plant. The company’s expansion project is designed to increase the thre production of generic medicines in pre-filled syringes.

Fresenius Kabi is a global health care company that specializes in medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition.  The expansion project promises to bring over 400 new jobs and more than $100 million in investment to Wilson.  The company currently employs more than 100 people at the Wilson location.  North Carolina government helped with the expansion with a Job Development Investment Grant.  This is a 12 year grant that should grow the state's economy by an estimated $853 million. Under the terms of the grant, the company agrees to create 445 jobs over five years.
