IncSmart Nevada (Small Business and Startups) - Construction is slowly starting at the site for the Las Vegas Raiders new stadium. Construction crews were at the location on Monday. They are prepping the 62 acres for predevelopment work expected to begin in December. The site of the 65,0000 seat domed football stadium is as Interstate 15 and Russell Road. The $1.9 billion project, is between Russell and Hacienda Avenue and between Dean Martin Drive and Polaris Avenue, west of I-15.
The development also included a community benefits plan. The plan states that a percent of the dollar amounts spent for services and construction go to minority business and business owned by veterans in Clark County. There is over $100 million for community incubation in the zip codes 89106 and 89030. 10 percent of Raiders game tickets will be discounted to residents of those ZIP code areas and veterans as well.
