IncSmart California (Small Business and Startups) - California Google shuts down Google +. Google + is Googles social network. Google + private information was open for access because of a bug in their system software. This is the second incident with Google +. The first incident involved 500,000 users. The second incident exposed 53 million customers.
Among information that was open was user names, email addresses, and work history. This information was exposed just a week earlier. Google is trying to assure the public, that no third party hacker broke into their system. The system software malfunctioned and that the information was available for six days. Google has also told the public that the information that was exposed did not include financial data that hackers would use for identity theft.
