IncSmart Illinois (Small Business and Startups) - Bank of America has big plans. They are moving 2,000 of its 5,600 Chicago employees into the new tower in downtown Chicago. The steady improvement of the Trump economy, has created a movement of companies moving employees from the suburbs. Bank of America will occupy 15 floors on the bottom of the sky scraper, a 1.35 million square foot high rise. Bank of America is the anchor tenant.
Local real estate companies are getting ready for the eventual climb in vacancies that will reduce the average rents. This is a boon for small business that would like to be located downtown. Many rentals around the new tower are in great neighborhoods around the revitalization of the riverfront and close to transportation.
