Boeing Moves Jobs to Arizona
IncSmart Arizona (Small Business and Startups) - Boeing is moving hundreds of jobs from its Seattle plant to Mesa Arizona.  The move will be ongoing and take between 2 and 3 years.  The Mesa facility currently employs over 3500 people.  The Mesa plant is producing Apache Attack Helicopters.  The Boeing Company BA was just awarded a modification to a foreign military sales contract worth $410.9 million from the U.S. Army Contracting Command from the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. However work for this deal will be carried out in Mesa.

This relocation from Seattle is a big boost for the city of Mesa.  Hiring will encompass both employee relocation and new hires from the city  Moving workers to Arizona provides Mesa with a huge economic boost.  Hundreds of new families will be looking for housing and pour new money in the city.  They will be looking forb information about realtors, schools and commercial services.  Since 2005 the unemployment rate in Mesa has ranged from 2.0% in April 1998 to 10.5% in January 2010. The current unemployment rate for Mesa is 4.4% in February 2017.
