IncSmart Alabama (Small Business and Startups) - Canadian jet maker, Bombardier has announced that it is selling a controlling stake in its C-series jetliner to European manufacturer Airbus. The European aerospace giant Airbus is planning a second assembly line for the 100 to 150 seat plane will be set up at Airbus's facility in Mobile Alabama.
Mobile, where Airbus already assembles aircraft from its own A320 family, will expand the plane's production to a new facility in Mobile, a move that could help it avoid the import duty. Unemployment in August 2017 in Mobile was 4.9%. This new development will be a creating jobs. The Airbus facility currently operates a 53 acre facility in Mobile.
