Corporate Name Endings
- The name must contain the word "Corporation," "Incorporated,"
"Limited," or the abbreviation "Inc." or "Corp., or "Ltd." The name must
not be the same, or deceptively similar to, the name of any corporation
authorized to transact business in the state, any reserved or registered
name, the fictitious name of a foreign corporation, domestic or foreign
limited partnership, or any other business entity. The name must not
contain language implying the corporation is organized for a purpose
not permitted by the Act or its articles.

Director Information
- Minimum Number - One or more.
- Residence Requirements - No provision.
- Age Requirements - None
- Directors are not required to be listed in the articles of incorporation.
Officer Information
- Officers are not required to be listed in the articles of incorporation.
Stock Information
- An increase in shares or par value does not affect initial filing fees.
Corporate Records
- The articles of incorporation, bylaws, any amendments thereto certified
by the Secretary of State, and a copy of the stock ledger, or statement
of where it is kept, must be kept at the principal office of the
corporation.
Taxes and Fees
Initial & Annual Statements
- The New Hampshire annual report and filing fee for corporations and
limited liability companies are due by April 1st of each year following
the year of registration. The fee is $100.

S Corporation
- S Corporation status is not recognized by the State of New Hampshire.
License Requirements
- New Hampshire requires most businesses to obtain a license and pay a
fee if operating in the district. Please check with the district to make
sure your business is complying with the license requirements for your
particular profession.
- The New Hampshire Secretary of State requires that both Corporations
and LLCs file an Annual Report. The Annual Report is due by April 1st
of each year. The Secretary of State will mail a reminder in January to
the designated Registered Agent of the company.
